Jonathan Colman concentrates his practice in litigation and business and corporate counseling. He has counseled and successfully represented clients through all stages of litigation. Jonathan has secured complete victories through dispositive motions, won significant discovery battles, acquired "zero" verdicts when defending clients in mediation and played a significant role in obtaining favorable verdicts at trial.

In addition, Jonathan has counseled numerous businesses and corporations in a wide range of matters, including contract drafting and negotiations, business transactions, government relations, restructuring and reorganization of operations, white collar criminal investigations, and many other areas.

Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Michigan (A.B., University Honors) and Wayne State University Law School (J.D.). While attending Wayne State University Law School, he was named both a Dean’s Scholar and a Lombard Fellow. Jonathan was also honored for excellence in written advocacy as a member of Wayne State’s Moot Court Program.

During law school, Jonathan clerked for Michigan’s 40^th District Court and the Macomb County Corporation Counsel.  While at the University of Michigan he interned with the University’s Bioterrorism Preparedness Initiative in conjunction with the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.

Jonathan is admitted to practice before the Courts of the State of Michigan and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
